Last year I borrowed one, this year I have to buy one.
I need a halter that will fit an Arab foal (suckling size). I would
prefer it to be leather. The halters I see in stores for sucklings
are too big and are usually nylon. Is there a store in southern N.H.
and the vicinity that carries this item for newborn foals?.

Can someone give me the names and addresses of companies (so I could
get a catalog - a toll free number would be nice) that carry Arab
size halters.
I am also having a difficult time finding a halter for a colt that is
almost a year old. A colt size is too small and an adult size is too
big! Seems the stores like AGWAY and STATE LINE TACK cater to all
the other horses and forget young Arabs. Is this a difficult size for
fitting Arab halters? Any tips for finding halters that fit and
possibly getting leather ones?

Hi Nancy-
You might want to look into the Salem tack shop. It is right
on Rt. 28, off Rt. 213. I bought an Arab halter there a few weeks
ago and they are great about altering if needed. Maybe they might
even make a halter for you??? The store is right next to the Subaru
(sp)? car sales.

Have you tried the saddle shed in Grafton, Mass? I got a small
halter there a few years back. They advertise in the Pedlar.

STABLE YARD HAS THEM AS WELL AS BEAVER VALLEY FARMS USUALLY CARRIES
THEM AND THEY ARE IN PELHAM, OFF RT 38 NEAR THE PURITY SUPREME.
THERE IS ALSO A TACK SHOP ON RT 125 IN BRENTWOOD THAT CARRIES THEM
USUALLY. STATE LINE HAS NEVER HAD ANY FOAL HALTERS SMALL ENOUGH
FOR ARABS. I WILL NEED TO GET ONE MYSELF THIS YEAR SO I'LL LET
YOU KNOW IF I FIND ONE.

You might want to try the Schneiders catalog. They specilize in
tack for Arabs, Saddlebreds and National Show Horses. The also
have a lot of Western stuff for the Quarter Horse show people.

but do have them in nylon.

are Red, blue, green, navy, burgandy, black, silver, brown, tan,
