605.0. "North Light Farm - now in Lunenburg, MA" by BRAT::GOULD (Maureen Gould * 264-0182 *) Mon Jan 16 1989 17:14

    Has anyone ever taken lessons from the owner Marguerite G. Shaw.
    She's from the Boston area.

    I am considering taking lessons, but the price is $$$, so thought
    maybe someone would know.

    Please send/author so that I may delete this note.

    Thanks.

    Please don't delete the initial note. It's always useful to have this
    type of information around. You never know who might be interested in
    taking lessons from Marguerite.
    By the way, how much is a private lesson from her? My last instructor
    charged $35/hour, but was worth it so I didn't mind (that much).

    A one hour private lesson is $40. She teaches hunt seat instruction.
    I made an appointment for a lesson, so I'll have an opinion soon.

    She also does boarding from $340 to $640 a month depending on what
    you want (full board, training board, lessons).

605.3I like North Light alotNOBOZO::GOODNOWTue Jan 17 1989 09:5011

    I board two horses there. It's nice. The stalls are very clean and
    they are turned out daily. I don't take lessons from Marguerite
    because she teaches hunt seat and I event - but I've watched her teach
    and I think she's a good instructor. She also has quite a few horses
    for sale.

    Any other questions about North Light, you can call me if you want

605.5Anyone Familiar with trails around North Light Farm ?ROYALT::BOOTHMon Oct 28 1991 06:279

	I live at the bottom of the hill from North Light
Farm and am considering buying a horse. I understand there
are some trails around the farm. Can anyone describe
what they are like and how far I could go ?

	Thanks,
	-Steve-
605.6There are great trails thereCSCMA::SMITHMon Oct 28 1991 09:2311
    I lived in Shirley and used to go to Northlight (It was Smithfield
    then) only on paths. I came out by the apple orchard. The paths are
    more like roads, they are really nice. I lived in back of the B + D
    auto Parts. It's been a while, but I think if you take a left out of the
    driveway and go straight you pass a street on the right, the road will
    soon turn to dirt. There are SO many paths, I never got to go on them
    all! I wish I had some where I live now,

    Have fun,
    Sharon
