789.0. "Hear those Sleigh Bells Jingling..." by NRADM::BROUILLET (What's another word for Thesaurus?) Mon Nov 28 1988 13:33

    My wife wants to get a sleigh in time for Christmas. Other than
    looking through the Want Advertiser, where do you find something like
    that?

    I thought of building one, since there shouldn't be much to it. Has
    anyone ever seen plans for a sleigh (or anything similar)?

    I'm not sure where you are located. If you're in the New England
    area you can try Cindy & Robert Ramsay. Robert used to hold a position
    in the Concord Coach group of N.H.. I bought a saddle from his wife
    this year and they were discussing selling a sleigh and wanting it
    to go to someone who would use it (not just sit it on the lawn).

    If you're in the area you can try calling. They may have other
    suggestions.

    The DTN I have for Cindy is 261-2041.

    If you can't reach her I'll give you her home phone, but would prefer
    not to post it here.

    The Equine Journal had a full page on sleighs. Can't remember where
    it was but will bring it in tomorrow or if you wish, give me a call
    at the house tonight (after 8p.m. 508-422-7412).

    Good Luck

789.41 spotted in Rindge NHWMOIS::J_BENNETTconstants aren't; variables won'tFri Dec 02 1988 08:563
	Ruby Rice in Rindge, NH who deals in tack, carts, trailers, antiques,
etc. has a large (possibly antique) sleigh. I don't know if it's usable
- or how much she wants for it - her # is (603) 899-3330.
789.5Winter Sleigh RidesCASPRO::PRESTONPunch it, Margaret!Fri Dec 01 1989 13:2312
    Does anyone know of a place where the public can go for sleigh rides?
    My wife has her heart set on a winter sleigh ride (thinks it's romantic
    I guess) and I thought maybe someone in this notes conference might be
    able to help.

    We live in the Chelmsford area, and sometimes go to lake Winnipesaukee
    on weekends, in case anyone knows of sleigh-ride operations in those
    areas.

    Thanks a lot,

    Ed Preston

    Call Crescent Farms in Stow. They were advertising sleigh rides
    last winter (I think.) They should be in the book.
