Wendy, I use a jowl sweat for my QH. When I bought him he
had a very thick jowl. I used it over the summer only while
riding and it reduced the area quite a bit. He now has much
more definition, looks much nicer. I also used a full neck
sweat on my old QH. He had a very straight neck, with a cow
muscle under. It worked great on him.

| I have a friend who uses a real effective method.
There is a type of neck sweat which I think you get through Victor
Supreme. It totally covers the neck. And you hook it up to a hair
dryer (blow dryer type). Before you put it on, you rub "GREAT NECK"
all over the neck. This does a wonderful job. You can get a neck
down in 2 or 3 days instead of weeks.

What exactly is being sweated away? This sounds like those body wraps
they have that get you a size smaller until you drink a glass of water.
Is this permanent? liesl

| re: .3 "Is it permanent?"
Physiologically I don't know how it could be permanent. But it
is "effective" for during show season if you keep sweating on a
regular basis. Some show barns sweat their horses weekly (with
the blow dryer type) even during the off season. Then you don't
notice the fatter neck until you take your horse home.
I'm not totally convinced about the effectiveness. Excellent
conditioning where the neck muscles are used correctly is a more
appealing method to me.
A friend had an Arabian stallion who was top ten stallion 4 times.
They sweated his neck ALL the time. (He really didn't have all that
bad a neck.) When they quit showing him halter and started riding him,
they found his neck changed shape a little and was more muscular, so
they quit sweating him.
