351.0. "AHSA rule book" by CHGV04::LEECH (THE PHANTOM FIXER) Fri Aug 28 1987 13:32

Would anyone out there know where I could get a copy of the current
A.H.S.A. rule book? I have a 3 year old TB filly that I am training
and want to start shoowing in the spring next year. My previous
experience has been with Western perfomance horses and the Hunter/
Jumper classes are all new to me. An address to write for a copy
    would be great.

    Thanks

I believe that you have to become a member of the Assn. and they
send you a rule book. I think I paid $25 or $35/yr for membership,
    but don't remember.

The address for AHSA is: 220 E. 42nd St. NY, NY 10017 (212)972-2472.

The rule book is published biennially.

I have experience showing hunters and jumpers, maybe I could answer
    a specific question. RABBIT::OWEN

If you plan to show in a lot of AHSA rated shows you might as well
join the AHSA as you will be charged a non-member fee at each show
you attend. Last I knew the charge was $5.00. Will not take too
many of these fees before youpaid for the yearly membership.

Thanks a lot! I will be writing (sp) to the AHSA and see what they
will send me without being a member. I don't ee any point in
joining until I get ready to start showing. Will let you know
    what they send.

Actually, the nonmember fee is now $8.00.

Joining AHSA is like joining any other organization--your membership
fees help to finance all the things AHSA does for us as an industry.
