I have a crazy question. I may buy a horse and he is about ten
years old. He seems to have a flabby chest. Is this a sign of
age or could it be that he is just that way????

| IT SOUNDS LIKE THE HORSE IS REALLY OUT OF SHAPE. HOW LONG HAS IT
BEEN SINCE HE WAS LAST USED? IF HE HAS BEEN RIDEN RIGHT ALONG AND
KEPT IN GOOD CONDITION I MAY QUESTION IT OR LIKE YOU SAY IT MAY
    BE THE ANIMAL.

BEFORE YOU BUY ANY ANIMAL YOU SHOULD GET A VET TO CHECK THEM OUT
FOR YOU OR AT LEAST HAVE AN EXPERENCED HORSES PERSON COME AND HELP
    YOU OUT.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR NEW ANIMAL,

| It could just be the way he is built. I would ask a professional
(such as a vet) for his/her thought on it. When ever I buy a non-
registered horse I try to bring a vet along for their opinion.

| I heartily agree with the last comment. My wife is a veterinary
assistant and SHE wont even consider buying a horse without a vet
check. Also, if you are going to be boarding in a place other than
your own, they may require a Coggins test before they allow the
    animal onto their facility

    Good Luck
