310.0. "Maryland QH or other horse people?" by TEACH::SHERRY (Sherry Butler - DTN 339-4316 - MD) Tue Jun 30 1987 16:27

I've recently transferred to Landover, Maryland - Educational Services.
(If you ever are here for a class let me know!)

I wanted to know if there are any Quarter Horse people (or other
    horse people) around here.

I'll be showing in AQHA shows in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania
and North Carolina (and possible other places like the QH Congress
in Columbus, Ohio if my horse does good enough!)

I'd love to know if anyone around here goes to those shows
    (or would want too..)

I have a reply 1.41 that tells more about myself and my horse if
    you're interested.

Hi, Sherry! I work across the footbridge in the main building at
8301 Professional Place in the software library. Nice to find a
    local noter.

I raise Arabians, but my first horse was a QH named Tyger Scout.
I had him for 9 years and recently sold him to a woman for her
    children to ride.

FYI -- There is a BIG horse show at the Prince Georges Equestrian
Center in Upper Marlboro this week (July 2-5). The center is accessed
from Route 4 south, near the MD 301 interchange. This is an Arab
show, but it's a special event: the Region 15 Championships and
    Sweepstakes classes.

My 2-year-old colt, Zadas Magic Music, has qualified for the
championships, but he will be shown Friday morning and evening inthe
regular "A" show. My filly, Cedars Del Taliah, will be in the 8
a.m. Friday Fillies of 1986 class and in the Sweepstakes class at
    7 p.m. Saturday. It's a really big event!!!!! If you'd like to
see some fine horses and probably some celebrities (they own some
of the horses that will be shown), stop by. I'm stabling with Acquibob
    Arabians.
