I know of someone who provides this service. Call Buster Stone,
he lives on Little Mugget Road, Charlton, Mass (I don't have his
number with me) Buster's real name is Alvin. By the way, he
ran an ad in the Pedlar 2 or 3 issues ago....he has a nice
appaloosa stallion that is chestnut with a blanket and a nice
looking rig. good luck

| Bob Giles, in Winslow, has several matched pairs of horses,
from draft horses to Morgans. He changes approximately $200,
though it may be slightly more to Lisbon Falls as the drive
is longer. We are hiring his morgans in late June, and I can tell
you after that how we liked him if you check back with me.
Good luck,
Joan

232.7 | Hayrides and Sleighrides | TADSKI::HUMPHREY | | Wed Nov 08 1989 14:01 | 7 |
| I'm looking for a place where our group can go for a hay ride.
We're trying to plan our Christmas party and thought it would be
nice to start off with a hay ride. Does anyone know of a place
somewhere near Shrewsbury? Grafton?

232.8 | Silver Ranch | MEIS::SCRAGGS | | Thu Nov 09 1989 14:46 | 11 |
| Hi Lori, not sure if you had seen Evening Magazine a couple weeks ago
where they featured Silver Ranch in Jaffrey NH. That farm offers
several different types of packages ranging from just hay/sleigh rides
up to and including square dances. I received the brochure on their
offerings but I'm sorry I misplaced it. I believe they are listed in the
directory here in notes and sometimes they advertise in the horse
publications. We were thinking about doing something along these lines
for a winter group get-together, haven't decided yet though.

| Bob's Ranch in Acton, Mass. I was told also does hay rides. I was
thinking about one for my 4-H group. I was told he charges about
$100.00 per hour. I am not sure of this, I did not talk to the
Farm manager myself as yet.

Anyway, I've been reading this notesfile...pretty interesting! I
would like to know if any of you horse nuts knew of any places in
Mass. that offered sleigh rides???? I haven't seen anything like
that listed in the directory, but thought you might be able to help
me?? Any advice or comments??

232.13 | Sleigh Rides in Western Mass. | SPKALI::SUE | | Thu Feb 08 1990 10:46 | 7 |
| In Western Mass, you can arrange for Sleigh rides through the Salem
Cross Inn in West Brookfield, phone is 508-867-2345.
Also, on March 25 (I think) there is a sleigh rally at Mount Holyoke
College in South Hadley, Mass. It will include sleigh competitions
and sleigh rides and it benefits the Pioneer Valley Theraputic Riding
Association.
Good Luck!
