13.4 | Hello Charlotte!!!! | MERIDN::IZZO | | Wed Jun 25 1986 15:33 | 10 |
| Hi folks!
I live in Connecticut now, but I grew up in Charlotte! Where do
you ride? A hundred years ago when I first learned to ride, it
was at Cedar Hill Farm in Matthews - Nora Cooke owns it. Boy do
I miss the NC winters and showing at "the hounds".
Say hi to Lee Brodeur for me!

| Hi
We board our horses at C & R stables in Charlotte, we also take
lessons at the stable. We would love to ride in Latta Park
but we don't have access to a horse trailer.

| We breed, raise and show Quarter Horses (Joe Cody line along with
Native Sport). We live (and work unfortunately) in Huntsville,
Alabama. (Not that working or living in Huntsville is bad but working
in general takes up my time).

13.8 | A NEW EQUINE HOSPITAL IN GEORGIA | SAHQ::STURTEVANT | | Tue May 30 1989 12:22 | 19 |
|
There will soon be a new equine medical and surgical center near
Atlanta, GA to supplement the excellent University of Georgia
vet hospital.
A vet has moved to the area from Lexington, where he was heavily
involved with the racing stables. We had heard of him and called
him one Saturday for an emergency - he was great! Very knowledgeable,
good with the horses, and the kind of vet who actually LIKES to
take the time to talk to the owner about what the alternatives are
as far as diagnosis, treatment, etc.
His goal is not to replace your local vet, but to act as a referral
point for problems not treatable out of the back of a truck. He
has surgical facilities, laser equipment, etc. He also plans to
sponsor seminars for horse owners.
I recommend him highly. His name is Scott Hancock, phone number
is 404-945-9555.
