    I'm looking to buy a horse for my daughter. We're looking for a
    thoroughbred cross (preferably with a quarter horse or warmblood),
    between 6 and 10 years old, 16+ hands, with some experience (dressage,
    eventing, hunter jumper) - not interested in anything too green

    I have an 8-year old Appy/Thoroughbred gelding that I would like
    to offer to a loving person who would give him a good home.  I 
    have had this horse, Beowolf, since he was 8 months old.  Major
    changes in my life have made it necessary for me to find a new
    home for him.  I feel that it would be easiest for me if I could
    give him away to someone that I knew would give him a lot of love,
    rather than try to sell him.  
    
    He is beautiful appaloosa with bold markings.  He is 15.1 hands, 
    goes English, is a terrific trail horse, and easy to work around,
    except for the vet.  He *hates* vets.  I have never done any showing 
    with him, never wanted to, so I have no information on how he would be 
    in a show...I tend to think not very good.  But if you are interested 
    in trail riding, he is perfect for that. He will go over, under, around, 
    and through anything.
    
    He would be a good companion to another horse, if that's something
    that you are looking for.  He loves to play and run...he might be
    8 years old, but he is still green and behaves like a 3 year old.

    Was that a typo or do you really mean ZSO(i.e. Seattle WA engineering
    facility)?

	Yes, my husband, Robin was luck enough to be located in ZSO 
	for five months during 94' and liked it so much that we decided
	to move if we got the chance. Well a year and a half later we have
	finally made things happen and are due to start in the first 
	week of March.  It is very exciting but the big downside is that
	I have to sell Shannon.

	I estimated the cost of shipping her out there to be around
	$8000 - $9000 and unfortunately it is not covered in the Digital
	Relocation policy. (unless we can presuade her to live in the
	house for a while :-)

    Saddlebred is a 25 year old chestnut that goes English or Western and
    loves to trail ride.  She has a dominant personality, but she has good
    barn manners.  She thrives on field board.  She stands 15.2 hands. 
    Good for inexperienced rider.
    
    Paint is 24 years old and stands 14.1 hands.  She also goes English
    and Western.  She needs a lightweight rider ( under 150 pounds ).  She
    is a dark bay with white stockings over the knees in the front and half
    way up to the hocks in the back.  She has a long, smooth stride and a
    nice trot and canter.  She needs to be stalled and turned out without
    access to grass since she is prone to laminitis.

teens.

    I have a friend who has been getting back into riding and is looking
    for a horse to do mainly trailriding.  She would like a quarter horse
    type, preferrably, a gelding (in an ideal situation but it is not required)
    around 15-16 hands, in his/her teens up to maybe 17 or 18 years old. 
    She would like a horse that would rather walk than run (I have found that
    most do.)what I'm saying is that she doesn't want anything dead but she
    doesn't want anything that is going to be "hot" on the trails either. 
    Anyway, she doesn't have a large budget to spend a lot on the initial
    cost of the horse so she would like to spend up to $1000.00.  I know
    that isn't much money for the kind of horse that she is looking for but
    I figured that I would give it a shot.  Oh and if anyone finds two
    horses like this, I would be very interested in buying another horse if

      I just wanted to let everyone know that my friend is going to pick up
    her new horse on saturday so I wanted to thank everyone for the quick

    I'm starting to look for a horse to buy after my last horse died 5.5
    years ago. Currently I'm looking at Morgans but will start to expand
    my search in a few weeks.
    
    I'm looking for a gelding, 7 - 12 years old, 15 - 15.2 hands high
    (could be a little bit taller but not by much), who is somewhat calm
    and has some basic training. I would prefer a small - to medium boned
    horse - I had a tennessee walker before and liked his build.
    
    I plan on doing alot of trail riding,hunter paces and some basic 
    dressage/eventing. I may actually look into endurance riding.
    
    If anyone knows of a horse for sale (even if it's not a Morgan -) )

    her past - she is very knowlegable and loving.  Her mare is not a quite
    horse by anymeans - and she is looking for a quite horse who loves
    trail rides or likes to do dessage.

    You can keep your horse at her barn (free) if she can ride it
    once in awhile - when she really wants to concentate on a certin
    movement.

    Okay,  I have been trying to sell my 5 year old saddlebred and have
    had not 1 call on him since January.  So I decide to call every barn 
    in the world to see if anyone would take him on a free lease for either
    lessons or individual lease.  Absolutley no one has open stalls or
    knows of anyone to free lease him.  This horse is really nice and worth
    between 10-15k.  The place where I keep him has not been helpful at
    all.  I just can't afford to keep him anymore and can not find a anyone
    with open stalls (reasonable rent).  What should I do?   Im desperate!

	A friend of mine is getting out of the Arab business after many, many 
	years (I've known her 11+, and she's been in the business as long as 
	I've known her).  She just can't keep up the pace anymore, and has 
	reached such a point of desperation that she's decided that whatever 
	hasn't been sold by the end of September is going to the killers.  
	She has some excellent Polish mares, geldings, yearlings, and a 
	couple of studs - starting at $500.00 (older horses or broodmares 
	that are unrideable) and going up to $6,000 (which is an excellent 
	price for some of the quality she has).  Most are broke for trails, 
	as her place borders National Forest.  Some have been shown:  
	western, english, dressage; in fact, she has one mare (15, I think) 
	who has been shown in all the above - a sweet mare who can go all
	day - she certainly out lasts me!  If I could, I'd buy her for myself, 
	but no money.....  Sigh.

    build, grey, perfect mannered.  I paddocked this horse at Yonkers
    last month and couldn't believe how well behaved he was.  He's a
    real pet, loves attention and is extremely intelligent.

    I am looking to find someone to free lease my Anglo Arab Mare, Annie.
    She is 16h, bay, 14 years young and is great on pace events, trails and
    has evented at the novice and training levels.  She has a very sweet
    disposition and needs a quiet, intermediate rider.  She is very sound
    and would also make an excellent competitive trail horse as she has
    great endurance and is currently very fit.  Annie is stabled at
    Integrity Equestrian Center in Holden, Ma. (just off rt. 190). 
    Integrity has a large indoor arena, a huge outdoor ring, excellent
    instruction and very reasonable rates.

For Sale:

	8 Year old, 15H Grey Morab Gelding. "Magic's Premier" (aka Spider) is 
an excellent mover, very athletic and a scopy jumper. Spider is currently an 
Event horse but would also make an excellent Dressage or Show horse. Spider
is going Novice level now and will be moving up to Training after his next
show (Mid June). He is very sound and sane and is suitable for a child or
adult. Both my wife and 13 year old daughter compete him in Eventing. Spider
goes off to camp each year with my daughter and behaves well both at our
barn and away. He is very easy to work around and a very attractive horse.
He loves trail riding also and does not need to be in the lead of the pack
like many other horses do, he has a mild disposition.
