What is the recommended way for a layered product to add help to NCL in V4.x. I've looked at make_help. It looks like I could just add my module with ar but then it wouyld appear at the end. If I want it in alphabetical order it looks like I need to extract everything in the original ncl_help.txt then create a new ncl_help.txt. The old make_help.sh seemed to do a better job of this. It appears that you used to ship all the individual help modules and make_help could build a whole help library. Byut the new make_help.txt doesn;t seem to have an extract phase before it does all of its sorting. Is this a bug? Dave

This is discussed in 2175. BTW, the usage for make_help is jsut to cd to where the new .hlp files are, and then just run "make_help.sh" Vince | |||||

Re .-1 As discussed offline make_help really needs to extract everying in ncl_help.txt first so that everything gets put back in the right alphabetical order. Dave |
