2162.0. "Where does CTF get its time from?" by CHEFS::DAVIES_J () Tue Apr 15 1997 13:59
UNIX V3.2g with native X25 v2.0a. No decnet but I guess this just might
be the right conference to aswer this question.
Recently here in the UK we moved from GMT to BST (1 hour addedd to
clock) The system time was ok i.e. the date command showed the right
time.
However on running CTF it showed the time as still being one hour
behind. I resolved this by setting the command "set time local"
All tracepoints were on the local system.
So where does CTF get its timestamp from when "set time remote" is used
even though there is no decnet and the tracepoint is on that machine.
the customer has another very similar time problem with an application
he has written and was hoping the answer to this query may help to
resolve his problem.

John Davies
