Hi, I'm looking for some information on Year 2000 compliance for some layered products on UNIX platforms on a client site. I hope I have the correct conference for this product. What I would like to know is if the version mentioned is year 2000 "compliant" and if not, what version is (or will be). The product has been identified as "DECnet/OSI V3.2" I've looked through the Digital web site for information, but so far I've drawn a blank for this product. Thanks Paschal McEnroe

Hi, Well we do plan do make DECnet/OSI for Digital-UNIX year 2000 compliant, but it will probably be in the steel release. It certainly won't be for 3.2. Vince

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I have seen other products due out with the steel release referenced as 4.*. Will this be the case for DECNet/OSI? Thanks Paschal McEnroe

We haven't gotten to the stage of deciding on a release number, but I'd guess it will be DECnet 4.2 -- Vince |
