Could someone be so generous as to suggest what might cause the following
errors on startup of a Digital UNIX V3.2C (Rev. 148) system with
DECnet/OSI and X.25 installed? The error messages do not occur if the
ethernet controller is physically installed in the system. I can provide
the entire startup sequence, if requested.

DECnet/OSI need a network controller which has an address rom to generate its UID (unique id). Without one, DECnet/OSI will not be able to properly start up. | |||||

Okay. Thank you. We'll tell the customer that, "that's the way it
is."
