Hi,
I have a customer who has two 2100A's running ASE. They have
mutliple ethernet cards in each. I want to run using only one
of the cards and can not get it to work. When running decnetsetup
advanced and it asks me if I want to autoconfigure I tell it no.
It then comes back and says the dna_node_id is tu1. I then answer
all the questions and tell it to use tu0. Is there any wierdness
with ASE running and telling it to use a particular ethernet card?
I need to get it running on tu0.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
Running UNIX 3.2D, will be upgrading to 4.0B soon.

I have search this notesfile all over and found another note where
someone had the same problem. He was asked to try multiple things,
which I have and still no luck. The other note is 1339 and it appears
that the person is no longer with Digital.
Thanks,
Dave

Having the dna_node_id come from tu1 and using tu0 should be no problem. (all the system is doing is picking the "smallest" hardware address to use a unique identifier. It doesn't really remember where it came from). | |||||
