2388.0. "PSPA 2.2-51 and spurious WSextent report" by EVTAI1::LEREUIL () Wed Feb 12 1997 09:18
Hi , I have encountered this problem with PSPA 2.2-51 and this command
ADVISE PERFORMANCE REPORT TABULAR/SECT=EXTEND/BEG=26-JAN-1997
00:00:00.00/END=11-FEB-1997 00:00:00.00/OUT=TAB.LIS
you can see below WS Extnt to 16404 for all process , this value is
equal to WSMAX from SYSGEN , but never the UAF parameter WSEXTENT ,
why ? if I'm reffered to the Polycenter User's guide Performance
Advisor I can see page 3-67 figure 3-10 a different value for
WS Extnt , and this WS Extnt is the working set value for each process
My WSMAX is really to 16000 , and my UAF accounts for ie: LECONTE and SYSTEM and lereuil are still differents value
ie:

the question is this figure report has been generated by the version PSPA 2.0-44 , then there is a bug to 2.2-51 ?
Thanks indeed

| What is PQL_MWSEXTENT, PQL_DWSEXTENT? For the same process that has the
WSEXTENT as reported what is F$GETJPI("pid","WSEXTENT") &
F$GETJPI("pid","WSPEAK") and what does Accounting say is the peak workinmg
set?

Hi, the PQL_MWSEXTENT and PQL_DWSEXTENT are really to current value
SYSGEN 16400 and the peak size returned by F$GETJPI("pid","WSPEAK")
is 4416 and F$GETJPI("pid","WSEXTENT") is to 16400 and the peak
working set into ACCOUNTING is 2421 ie: for Leconte account.
Excuse me but when you read the page 3-67 about the WS extent it isn't
very explicit or I can't make sense of this explanation in the
figure 3-10.
Thanks a lot
