| We went to the North End Daily Catch last Friday about 2:00 p.m. for
lunch. Boy this place is small. The whole restaurant was as big as my
kitchen. There was probably seating for 15 tops, about six tables and
the kitchen is in the corner so you can see what they are cooking.
I was not overly impressed with their menu but then had a hard time
deciding what I wanted. My mother and I split the scallops in red
sauce with linguine. It was just enough for the two of us for a late
lunch. The scallops were extremely fresh and there were enough for the
two of us although there was a different smell to them that I just
couldn't place. The red sauce was really good and the linguine
properly cooked. It was served in the frying pan which I loved. Our
lunch was about $13.00
My son and his friend (both 3 years old) split the fish and chips.
I sampled a piece of the fish and it was delicious! Their lunch was
about $9.00
Other people had the mussels in red linquine and scampi in red
linquine. I think it was ok but they weren't raving about it.
Overall, I was not as impressed as I was hoping to be. I would go back
for a craving of linquine with seafood but that is probably it. They
didn't offer any juices or milk, just water, soda, beer and wine which
I thought was odd. Our meal with four entrees and two sodas was $60.00
and I thought that was high for dinner.
