| A friend of ours received a $150.00 gift certificate from her former
boss a year ago Christmas and was nice enough to share it with me and
my S.O. It was the best meal any of us had ever had. The atmosphere
was beautiful, the service excellent-extremely attentive without being
intrusive. It was truly a memorable evening. Oh, the $150.00 gift
certificate only covered a portion of the cost. I think the total
for the 4 of us wound up being around $265 with tip. That was for
4 glasses of wine, 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, at least 2 desserts and
coffees.
My S.O. and I have since received gift certificates (from this same
person who shared hers with us) for L'Espalier. She gave them to us
for recent milestone birthdays. L'Espalier is a fix price dinner of
$62/pp. We are going on 4/19 (we're going to see Rent that day and
going there for dinner after). So, I can't comment on dinner there
yet, but will certainly do so after we go. We can't wait. From
everything I've read, it is the finest French restaurant, if not
the finest restaurant period, in Boston. We'll soon find out, but
let's face it, that is very subjective.
