3214.0. ""Trail-a-bike" info request" by NNTPD::"[email protected]" (Sheera Knecht) Thu Jun 05 1997 10:34

Does anyone have any experience with a "trail-a-bike"?  It's a tandem-like
attachment to an adult bike for a child to ride. Would it be suitable for
a 4 year old? Is it hard to ride with it on? Any particular brands or
models?

Thanks,
Sheera

Thanks, Larry--What do you think about an inexperienced adult using the
trail-a-bike with a 40 lb. 4 year old on a flat bike path at an uncrowded
time?
My 8 year old is bugging me to go riding with her, which I love to do,
but the 4 year old on training wheels is not working out. Would you
say that a baby sitter would be a better use of my $$?

    No problem. BTW I think some local bike shops sell them now. So
    you should be able to give it a test run before buying one.
