This particular rider had done very well. Does someone know who this rider is? I would be interested in finding out more about him.) Frank McCormack was selected as an alternate for the olympic team. The last primary slot on the team went to someone who just began apprentiship (no pay) racing with Motorola. Thanks for the information. The article was very interesting. It does sound unfair. Rick | |||||

It does sound unfair, but we have to assume Carmichael knows what he is doing. He was a racer and he is coach. I wonder a bit about Greg Randolph over McCormack, but I don't think McCormack is at Armstrong's level. If Lance can get in a break, he can medal. I don't know if McCormack has the engine to keep the pace the Europeans will put on the race AND the ability to win the sprint. If it comes to a sprint, he's going to have to sprint against the likes of Cippolini, Wust, Pizicks, Jalabert, Abdu (and others) whom he'd have a tough time beating. I think 100% support in favor of Lance is the way to go and who better than a European harden, trained and experienced Motorola squad. I think Andreau ought to give Hegg the TT opportunity, however.
