I only found some old notes on the subject of rentals/hire in MA.
A friend and customer is coming to Boston for two weeks in the near
future. Can anyone please recommend a place where he can hire a road
bike? He is about 5'6", so I guess he'd be on a 20" or 21" frame.

I'm 5'7" and have a 52cm Trek 1200 I'm not using that you can borrow
for 2 weeks. Good news: it's anal-retentively tuned up and clean.
Bad news: it has 25,000 miles on it and the frame has turned to soft
jello; it's not terribly efficient and makes some interesting sounds.
The handlebar stem is also frozen, but it should be ok where it's at
(didn't have much height adjustment anyhow).
