Since the Tour de Lowell will not be happening this year, I started asking
around for other citizen's races in the MA/NH area.  My friend found out about
two races in Keene, NH on May 20 and 21:

Heart of New England Cycling Weekend

May 20, 1995 - Optical Ave Criterium - 20K (public) - 50K (Pro 1/2)
               Public entry fee $12.00, public race starts at 8:00
               for Public 18+ (M & W)

May 21, 1995 - Peerless Insurance Cycling Road Race - 52 miles
               Public entry fee $15.00, public race starts at 10:05
               for Public 18+ (M & W)

Both events are USCF sanctioned and have categories ranging from Public to
Pro 1/2.

Registration info:  Pre-registration post marked by May 15, 1995.  Late fee
$5.00.  Entry fee includes $2.00 USCF ($5.00 public) insurance surcharge.
Registration opens at 7:00 AM.  Closes 20 min. before each event.  ANSI approved
helmet required.  All USCF rules apply.

I'm going to do the road race on the 21st with a friend of mine.  The course
description is Rolling terrain with 3 climbs, 39/21-23 recommended.  I think I
may try with my 42/23 and see what happens.
