Does anyone know of any shops in central Massachusetts that sell Alpinestars, Ibis, or Barracuda MTBs? Any other recommendations for a small (14" or so) MTB frame? My wife is looking to replace her Bridgestone MB6 with something lighter (it's about 31 lbs - ugh!) and smaller (it's a 16" frame and way too long). She's already tried a Cannondale M900 (14" frame, 22.5 lbs) and really liked it - but it would be nice to compare it with some other bikes before taking the Cdale home Thanks /ken

Ken, your note is dated Nov. So this might be a tad too late;-) For whatever its worth, I was up at Lincloln New Hampshire area MTB'ng. In Downtown Lincoln, where the demo and buy ski is, now they are Demo and buy bikes. They also carry Barracudas. If you haven't made a purchase yet, it might be a nice weekend trip up there, since there are plenty of all level trails, from easy to intermediate cross country trails of Loon mountain to more advanced. You can demo these bikes and try 'em out on real terrain rather than the bike shop's parking lot like most of them do and then decide. Shaw | |||||
