| The Westford 1:25,000 topo map is the best start. If you're up
near in the Westford area, there's a small stationary store buried
in one of the malls at the intersection of 110 and 225(?, near the
Regency) that carries topo maps. The trails have many entry points;
one of which is at the end of Nagog Park. There's an abandoned
railroad track not too deep in the woods. The road bike routes
around the area kinda suck; I'll be joining you soon. Kratz

re: .-1 and road biking around AKO sucking
I just left AKO2 and was quite pleased with the road
biking in the area. Of course you have to ride for a short
piece in either direction on 2A/119 to get to the good
roads, but I thought it was well worth it.
I'd have to look in the map for some road names, but
I had a nice 20mile Concord loop, 30 mile Concord/Chelmsford
loop and some short loops. Basically it was riding on
225, 27, Lowell Rd, and some connecting back roads.
However, it all depends on what you're comparing against.

| Hi Larry!
Yeah, I guess my wishes for a road bike route is perhaps a little
demanding: must have a full breakdown lane, absolutely no cars, and
been paved in the last 60 days. An occasional hill is ok. ;-)

| There is indeed trails at the end of the road, however it is not too
big. You can take a trail that almost reaches 2a/119, then cross and
go in by the resevoir.
Road riding is choice of speed riding, 225, 27, etc or go by the
resevoir and head towards Taylor St and Boxboro. This is quiet, but roads
are bumpy.

| There's tons of trails north and northwest of AKO, courtesy of
Bobby's horseride ranch. Once you use those trails to get to
the abandoned railroad track, heading northwest brings you to
a lake with lots of trails; heading southeast bring you to a quarry,
also with lots of trails in and around it. The lake has some blue
heron, although judging by the empty shotgun shells along the shore,
it's probably had more at one point. Basically the entire block of
land bordered by Nashoba Rd on the west, 2a on the south, 27 on the
east, and 225 on the north is chock full of horse trails, like
on the order of 20+ miles worth. Kratz

| I ered, as they say ;-)
The horse trails are bounded by Powers Rd on the west (not
Nashoba Rd). The Nashoba ski place is on Powers Rd.
