Does anyone know the approximate route of the upcoming Seven Hills Wheelmen Century on Sept 25 (leaving from Sterling, Mass.)? I'd like to be somewhat familiar with the route. Thanks, rob

I only recently recieved the cue sheet myself. It travels on back roads from Sterling MA to Concord MA. I have not been on the route, but I've been told that the terrain is rolling. Rich (Seven Hills Wheelmen Rides Chair)

Thanks Rich. I was expecting to hear names of towns like Barre. That's a relief! rob

We visit Barre in June, on the Quabbin Reservoir Tour century.

just picked up a copy of September's "The Ride Magazine" and there's a listing of New England's fall centuries. Quoted is Doug Coutre, apparently the route planner. He says it will be a "real rubberneck type of century." Lots of scenery past Concord's Old North Bridge and the Great Meadow wildlife sanctuary in Sudbury. The hilliest part is in Harvard. Good news 'cause that's part of my standard lunchtime ride. Almost sounds too easy. Yeah right, check in on me at mile 85! rb |
