Sharon,
What kind of advise and direction are you looking for?
What kind of riding does your friend intend on doing?
Alot of single trak in the woods or just dirt roads or ?
I just sold (sniff) my Specialized Rockhopper Comp, which I felt
was a real good bike. Nice and solid. I believe the Hard Rock is
the next group down from the Rockhopper. Specialized tends to have
several different models in a group, using different components
on each. Which one is your friend looking
at?
Which one to go with would depend again on the type of riding they plan
on doing.
I might suggest picking up a buyers guide also.
