| My setup is Campy record ergo with 7 speed Sachs freewheel
Works fine. Make sure you get a 93 version, there is some
minor spacing difference, I forgot the color variant. I am
sure if you order through a volume mail order ie: Colorado
Cyclist you should have no problem.
I imagine the 8 speed should also work.

| I too would have thought it would work ok, because Sachs-Aris make an
Ergopower brake/shift lever (when I heard about this I hoped it might be
offered at a keen price but in fact it's a top-line item and costs at
least as much as the Campag C-Record Ergo lever). Obviously this must
work with Sachs-Aris freewheels.
It's quite confusing nowadays trying to understand how the European
manufacturers link together. I *think* that Sachs, Aris, Huret and Maillard
are all part of the same group now, combining to meet the competition.

Yes, Sachs, Aris, Huret and Maillard are now part of the same
consortium. Isn't it disconcerting how companies are getting brought
together to make super-companies, in all industries... In 20 years
time, small businesses will cease to be and we'll all be at the mercy
of 10 massive global companies...
