2670.0. "Mine Falls Mt. bike race?" by NQOPS::THIBODEAU () Tue Sep 07 1993 10:01

    I was wondering if anyone has done the Mine Falls Mt. bike race in
    Nashua before. The race is next Saturday and they have 3 groups. I will
    post more information later after I pick up an entry form but I was
    wondering how much single track is on the course and what it's like
    going on single track with 150 other people. Do they tend to stagger
    the start on these things or is it just a free for all. The entry fee
    is $20 which I find a little steep but I does sound like it could be
    fun.

    I went to Tony's and got an entry form. There are 4 divisions with the
    entry fee be $5 for the Youth and $20 for the other 3.

    Youth 	2-3   miles
    Beginner	7-8   miles
    Sport	13-14 miles
    Expert	18-20 miles

    I also heard briefly on the radio that there is another race on October
    4th at Mine Falls that is run, bike and then run again.
    Anyone heard of this one??

    Thanks

    Thanks, if you have a pointer to where to get one I can pick one up
    since I'm in Nashua. Question, I found out from a co-worker that to
    ride in most of these races you need to be licensed, which I don't
    understand, but anyway does this race Oct 3rd require you to be
    licensed. Before you know it you will need a running, biking and
    swimming license just to participate in these events.

2670.4You can have mine...WMOIS::MALLETTE_PFri Sep 10 1993 13:187
    Alan,

     Afriend dropped this off on my desk so I have no idea where to get
    one. If you have a fax # I'll copy this one to you or arrange to send
    the one I have to you. It says nothing about license requirements.
