2502.0. "Lung Asso Spring Trek" by SALEM::RYAN_J () Fri Feb 26 1993 11:45

The American Lung Association of New Hampshire (ALANH) has scheduled it's
Spring Bike Trek, officially the Clean Air Challenge, for April 30-May 2.
This year there are two trekking options. For those eager for a beautiful
two day ride, the Sat and Sun option will give you a scenic two-day tour of the
coastline of Maine and New Hampshire. The ride starts Saturday morning at
Wallis Sands State Beach and follows the coastline to Ogunquit, Maine.
On Sunday, the group returns to Wallis Sands via the Maine countryside to
a great finsh line beachside cookout.

For those who can take advantage of the three day event, Friday offers
a incredible one day ride through Coastal New Hampshire culminating in
a magnificent ride along Rt 1A into Portsmouth.

What's included -
Dinners and Breakfasts
Overnight accomodations ( Sat for 2-day ride, Fri/Sat for 3-day)
Finish line cookout
Clean Air Challenge long sleeve T-shirt
Truck to carry your gear
Repair, medical and communications support
Refreshments along the route
Clearly marked course with daily maps
Fabulous fundraising prizes (gift certificates from Performance)
Help with Fundraising
A great weekend adventure!

Three day riders pay a $35 registration fee and agree to raise a minumum
of $300 in pledges while Sat/Sun riders pay a $25 registration fee and
agree to raise $200 in pledges. There will be special prizes available
to all Trekkers and special recognition for those who raise various
amounts above the minimum.

ALANH is also offering team awards at this years Spring Trek. At the
Fall Trek in Sept 1992, the Digital - NIO team took home two very nice
trophies for raising the highest team total pledges and the highest avg
per teammember. Here's an opportunity top put a team together and
make it real Clean Air Challenge.

ALANH will hold information nights at various area bike shops during
the month of March. Follow-on note will have details on special info
night deals.
