For those interested.... In one of the notesfiles, Rod Widdowson mentioned doing a ride across the US. I remembered the articles BICYCLING carried last year about Lon Haldeman's Pac Tour, so... I found the articles about the PAC Tours in BICYCLING. I also called the number listed and got Susan Notorangelo (RAAM winner and Lon Haldeman's wife) on the line. We had a nice, friendly chat. She's sending me info about the 1993 Pac Tour (almost full) and the 1994 Pac Tour (plenty of openings) I'm going to send this info to Rod. If you are interested in any of this info, let me know (using mail) and I'll copy it before I send it to Rod. Scott LJOHUB::CRITZ

In the March 1994 BICYCLING magazine is another article on the PAC tour. In it, there is mention of Geoff Lambert, a software engineer from Nashua, N.H. What it doesn't say is that Geoff is a DEC employee from MK0. I don't know how often Geoff logs in this notes file, but maybe we can hound him until he submits a note detailing the experience and sharing some interesting events. Congratulations Geoff!!!
