2464.0. "Trick Stix" by SWAM2::STARK_KE () Tue Nov 24 1992 18:57
I have the Onza "L" bend, and, for the most part, am satisfied with
their performance. They are reasonably light, comfortable and rarely
get caught on branches etc.
One gripe would be that I do not particularly care for the smooth
finish. When my hands and gloves get sweaty they become a bit
slippery.
I have tried the Scott AT-2 and did not particularly care for it. Do
to the one piece wrap around design the grips, shifters and brakes all
became too cluttered towards the middle of the bar. Personally, I
think too much of, what should be, the usable bar is wasted in the bend
from bar to bar-end area.
A friend of mine has the Control Stix I bar-ends and they will be what
I upgrade to. They are light, well made, come in a variety of colors
and have a knurled finish for a better grip. If the shortness of the
Control Stix I is a concern, check out the "L" shaped Control Stix II.
