Anyone ridden a bike equipped with an Allsop Suspension Stem?? It's a parallelogram type device that gives you 2-3" of travel at the handlebars; supposed to absorb as much shock as a suspension fork for a pound less weight. I've read an article about it in the Mountain Bike Action Suspension issue and they originally thought it was ugly and gimmicky, but after trying it out revised thier opinion to " it's ugly, but it works really well!" It cost $160-225 (chromo. vs. alum.), but seems to me it would be worth it if it saved a beating on your hands. Any input would be appreciated..... Thanks- Mike
