Folks....I'm currently looking at a 17" American made bike ,well so I'm told. Has anybody ever heard of or give me any advice about it. Here in Ireland the asking price is approx 400 pounds which works out at around $640. The bike is an AL CARTER model Honda Creek and has 500LX components. Any help would be greatfully appreciated. Brian..

You're in luck. This month's (September) issue of Mountain (big letters) Bike (little letters) International (littler letters) has a review of the Hondo Creek. 369 pounds sterling, it says. The conclusion is that it is a good entry level MB for a beginner. Only bad marks are for the plastic headset and a Velo saddle that will wear out quickly. Patrick | |||||
