Welcome to the EURO_RANDONEUR notes conference. The subject of this
conference is the discussion of randonn�e cycling, which is to say
preparation around and performing of challenging long distance rides
of a day or more.
Historically this conference was generated to allow discussions leading
up to the attempt to do the Raid-Pyreneen by 6 of us (hence the name).
Throughout this summer we swapped stories of rides, discussed luggage,
lodging transport and so forth. At the end of the raid (which three
managed to start and complete) we decided that we would like to keep
this conference alive since it had been a great forum for discussion
of the sort of rides which we purport to enjoy and so we are making
it public.
This conference is:
- Not country specific, although to date it has been unashamedly French
based.
- Not about racing - use CASEE::CYCLE_RACING for that.
- Not about general cycling - use GOOFOF::BICYCLE for that.
- About non trivial rides.
- About *HAVING FUN*.
Please obey the normal rules in noting in here. I do not have time to
be a moderator and any abuse of the conference will just result in me
removing it.
