2337.0. "Advise on rte from PA to NJ" by TOPTEN::PLEVA (Ron, in Princeton NJ) Tue Jun 30 1992 14:12
I am looking for advise on roads that can be traveled safely from Mt. Carmel, PA
to the New Jersey shore. I will need to be riding at a fast pace (18-20mph) to
make time as the trip as the distance is 180 miles by car and I plan on riding
it in 1 day. Not being familiar with any roads in PA other than the Turnpike,
Rt422 from Norristown to Reading, Rt22/78 and Rt61 Reading to Mt Carmel. I need
suggestions on bike friendly roads.
If anyone can offer advise on any parts of this route I would appreciate it.
How is Route 901 from Mt Carmel to Minersville?
How is Rt 183 from Cressona to Rt 73 no of Reading?
How is Rt73 to Delaware River?
Where can I cross the Delaware between Philadelphia and Trenton?
How is the Taconey-Palmyra Bridge?
