Has anyone ever dealt with Oneils in Gardner ???? I'm in the process of buying a new bike and would like to know how they are for after sale service. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Steve

I would rate their service as very good. I bought a bike for my daughter there a few years ago...almost every time that she has brought the bike in for a minor adjustment they have done it for free. They give a free 30 day check-up on all the bikes that they sell.

Bruce is great. They do cater more toward the recreational rider, so if you're looking for performance stuff/advice you'll have to go elsewhere. He is very, very customer orientated, very responsive and a pretty good mechanic. If you develop a "good customer" relationship with him, he'll throw discounts at you. Chip

I had my "old" bike serviced there (a Peugot (?) touring bike about 20 years old). For the full works plus 2 inner tubes it cost $58.34. I know this because I told him (I forget the person's name) that I needed to buy another water bottle and a bottle carrier. He threw that in and told me that the total cost was $60. Not bad. So needless to say, I have since bought a pair of gloves from them and now am going to be looking for a new bike saddle (I guess I should have invested that money into a new bike....) Cindy |
