2282.0. "Seminar on Position" by WECARE::STEPHENS () Mon May 18 1992 15:14
Principles of Position on a Bicycle
When you're out on the road, riding your bike, ever wonder why your
seat's sore? Or your back? Or why your fingers are numb? Or why
you always seem to ride on the nose of your saddle?
According to a recent article in BICYCLING, there are at least seven
widely used methods for determining your most comfortable, effective,
position. So which system do you use?
It helps to know not just *how* your body reacts to a particular
position, but *why* it reacts that way. Justin Crocker, one of America's
original category II licensed racers and a former bike store manager,
offers a noon-time seminar on the principles of position.
This seminar is designed for cyclists who ride the road for fun or
for competition (sorry, Justin isn't ready to do a seminar on mountain
bikes yet -- he bought his first ATB last November!).
The seminar takes place at ZKO, 12-1 on Wednesday, May 27.

| Speaking of position, until this year's Tour DuPont, I'd
never seen any rider lay on the seat with his/her posterior
over the rear wheel. During the TDP, I saw LeMond and a
couple of others doing it.
Maybe Justin taught LeMond this?
