Hi,
I'll be out in Albuquerque the week of May 11, and am wondering if
there are any bike shops in the area willing to rent out a bike??
Also, how about mountain biking in the area?? I'd imagine there is
some pretty good stuff near-by...
Any ideas??

The Wilderness Centre (505) 268-6767 rents mountain bikes. I
don't know of anyone who rents road bikes, and a call to several
stores in town turned up nothing on road bikes for rent. Sandia Peak
ski area is not open yet, I think the date for it to open is May 23.
There is an open space area East of the city in the foothill's,
where bikes are allowed on certain trails however.
The Wilderness Centre may be able to help you with more of
this, and I know the bikes go fast there so give them a call.
Its getting awfully warm here, as our high today should be
around 90, but hopefully we'll be back around our average of 80
when you come out.
