Hi, I have the Deore LX gruppo on my TREK ATB and would like to upgrade my shifters and break levers to RFP. The press in the Mountain bike rags has been quite positive. Has anyone used them? I'd like to know what real people think of them. Thanks. Pat

I tried a new Trek with RFP and I liked the shifters much better than the RF (Deore DX) shifters on my Trek. However, after asking how much it would cost to convert to RFP, I decided to go with Deore XT thumb shifters (above the bar). The RF shifters are removed, but the original brake levers are still used. And I can always go back to the RF shifters if/when I want to. Pete | |||||

hi, it might be a long time since you ask but just in case you did not make up your mind yet or for others that might consider it for next summer, well, my rfp are still working well after many races and about 800 miles. i had to adjust them once in fall.Don't wonder why they called them rapid fire plus...I just love them...
