    My son who is 12 yrs old and small build wants a bike for his birthday.
    He saw a " offroad " mtn bike in a bike shop near You Do It Electronic
    in Newton. Their regular price is $290 and is now on sale for $200.
    This is a smaller size bike ( I think 24" wheel ) and fits my son
    perfectly. It has 18 speed ( 3 x 16 ? ) and looks quick sturdy.
    Since I don't know anything about bike. I would like some opinion and
    help from you experts.
    
    1. Is Offroad a good brandname ? Do they make good/reliable mtn bikes ?
    2. Is this sale price, $200, a good price for this bike ?
    3. If my son will be 90% street riding, will he be better off buying
       a street bike than mtn bike ?
    4. If his top price range is $200, are there any other brands that he
       can choose from ( 24" wheel )  ?

	NASHBAR is a good place to get a deal on a bike and the store in Newton has a service area to fix anything that might go wrong. If they have the best price I'd go with them. Offrode is known for their well made small size bikes. Tom
