2203.0. "Rentals in Phoenix, Arizonia?" by RANGER::PEASLEE () Wed Mar 04 1992 17:03

I will be vacationing in Phoenix and was wondering if anyone could
recommend the name of a bicycle shop where I might be able to rent a
    decent bicycle for a week.
    Thanks,
    Nancy

    Nancy,

    A coupla places....

    Landis Cyclery	2180 E. Southern Ave 602/839-9383

    Tempe Bicycle	330 W. University Dr.	602/966-6896

    Bike Chalet 1730 E. Warner Rd.	602/838-0911

The above names are located in Tempe. If you specifically want
something in downtown Phoenix, let me know and I'll post a
couple from there. Although, you'll probably get a better selection
around the university (ASU) than you would in downtown phx.

    regards,

    Pat

You might also try REI on Southern and Priest in Tempe 602-967-5494.
What time of year would you ride? Be sure and bring at least 2 water
bottles or buy them here (more bottles starting in May). Right now
the weather is excellent hitting in the high 70's many days (lows in
the low 40's in the mornings).

Thanks for the pointers, I was in Phoenix last week and as it
turned out, I didn't have time to do any bicycling. (I don't mean to
    be blasphemous!!)
The weather was beautiful, sunny and in the high 70s, low 80s.
I have however vowed to return again and intend to rent a bicycle
    on my next trip.
    Thanks for the pointers.
