2189.0. "Computer Programs for Bikes" by YOUWOT::LOCKM () Tue Feb 18 1992 05:36

    hi guys,
Bieng an amateur computer programmer, I`ve decided to do some sort of
bike program that could actually be useful! Does anybody have any
good ideas as to what I could include? It`s bieng written on an Amiga,
so if anyone has one I could post them a copy (When it`s finished).

    Thanks in advance

Please define "bike program", e.g. training, performance record,
improvement trends, regression analysis, Poisson Distributions,
    all of the above...

MIT Press has a book called "Cycling Science" that contains almost
every formula you ever wanted about bicycling physics. Try a few of
    those.

2189.4Biking Amigats ? There may be seven of us world-wide (-:ULTRA::BURGESSMad Man across the waterWed Feb 19 1992 14:0917

I'd like something that is sufficiently intelligent to figure
out the contents of this notes conference; there, that should keep
you busy for a while (-: If you want to write something of more
general use to Amiga owners, how about an extension to the update
capability of FISHCAT (yes, I don't mean catfish) to forward reference
newer versions ? Or you could fix some VLT bugs, like the crashes
that happen if you try to change screen colours. Or you could fix
term so that it doesn't hang/crash on the escape sequences that notes
sends it. Or,,,,, errrr, where am I ? Oh, Bikes, right.
How about a return on investment analysis for titanium parts ?
Or my fave alloy, unobtainium ?
