2173.0. "AVOCET 30 calibration" by BELFST::LOGAN (DECkchair Attendant) Fri Jan 24 1992 03:30

I have a problem with my AVOCET 30 computer. I have lost the manual
which contains the calibration formula for the computer and as a result
cannot measure accurately my meagre mileage. :-)

Does anyone have the formula used to generate the computer number ? I'd
prefer the one that is calculated in miles.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    Andy

    The formula for miles is:

Rolling Circumference in Inches x 2.7273. Round the product to the
    nearest whole number.

The table included in the manual is:

    Tire Size Number (mi)

    20 x 1.75 164
    26 x 1.5 212
    26 x 1.9 220
    26 x 2.125 225
    26 x 1-3/8 222
    700C Tubulars 224
    700 x 20 221
    700 x 25 224
    700 x 28 225
    700 x 32 227
    27 x 7/8 223
    27 x 1 226
    27 x 1-1/8 228
    27 x 1-1/4 230

    Hope this helps.

    Harry,

Thanks very much it helps alot. I've been suffering from withdrawal
symptoms from not being able to measure my distance travelled. I'd
been using a tape measure, of late. (It's very convenient when you're
    covering my training mileage) ;-)

    Regards,

    Andy.
