FYI,
Ultrasports in Manchester, N.H. is sponsoring a MTB race at Tower Hill
near Lake Massabesic. Date is August 25, 1991. It is a 5 mile circuit.
Beginners are 1 lap, Sport is 2 and expert/pro 4 (?). They have
applications printed at the shop.

What a loser. I am replying to my own note. Anyway, the race went ok
but there weren't many people. 5 experts, 7 sport and about 20+
beginner. The race was not publicized which explains the turnout. It
will be different next time. Yes there is a next race...sometime this
fall. The course is full of rolling hills...nothing real technical but
it is very loose in sections even on some downhills. It is great ride.
Hope to see some DECies there next time. We'll keep ya posted.

But there was another DECie there - me! Thank you for posting the note
announcing the race. This was my first mountain bike race (I've been
riding about 3 years) and it was great! I was able to hang in for 3rd
place in the 18-34 age group in the beginners class - 4th overall. A
small race is good for the first time.
So how did you do?
