Is anyone knowledgeable about bike shops in the greater-Boston area
that provide good deals on trade-ins? I have a woman's Fuji S-12S
in perfect shape that I'd like to trade for a mountain bike. Info
appreciated.

Mike,
I doubt what any shop would offer would please you. If I were you I'd
try selling the bike in NOTES, WANT Adv. or local shopper or newspaper
first. That way you'll get more $$$ than the 35% of the new price the
bike shops will offer.
However if you want to try, the 3 shops that you might try are:

These are the shops that generally are quite reputable.
