1929.0. "Frame problems with raleigh technium." by SOLVIT::FRANCIS () Thu May 02 1991 08:59
Has any one owning a Raleigh, Technium, had any frame problems?
Like the down tube coming bonded from the steering tube, well I just
had it happen for the second time less than a year. I own a Technium,
Instinct, ATB. My riding style is rough but not real fast, I have never
raced this bike.
Comments,
Has anyone used the warranty from Raleigh?
I did for the first time I had the frame replaced. The shop had the
bike for about 2 weeks. NOT REAL HAPPY ABOUT THAT!

1929.1 | It's typical of bond AL frames... | NIKLKY::KLASMAN | ALL-IN-1 DESKtop for PCs. dtn 381-0731 | Fri May 03 1991 08:36 | 5 |
| I don't have one, but the most likely place for a bonded aluminum frame to fail
is at one of the bonds. I remember hearing about lots of problems when this
type of frame first came on the market, but nothing specific about Raleighs.

1929.2 | Technium bonding problems | WORDY::GRACE | | Wed May 08 1991 13:34 | 6 |
| I recall form some articles in Bicycling (within the last 6 months) that
Raleigh Techniums did have some bonding problems. Check out the
magazine's columns.
