On Sunday, September 9, I'll be doing a century (100-miles in one day) bike
ride down in Rhode Island (the name of the ride is TFCE - The Flattest
Century in the East - why else do you think I chose *this* particular
ride???). 

Because the ride is not sponsored by any particular charity and is just 
for fun, I thought it a good opportunity to raise some funds for a 
worthwhile cause of my own choosing:  The LISA Organization, an 
organization that raises funds and runs programs to help abused children.
(If you would like more information about LISA, let me know and I will send 
you a copy of their literature.)

If you are interested in helping to support LISA, just send me mail and
tell me how much you would like to pledge per mile 	(I am *planning* to
do the whole 100).  Once the ride is over, I will contact you to collect
your donation.  (Digital will match your contribution). 

I honestly believe that child abuse is one of the most important issues of 
our time; I appreciate any donation you would like to give.
