Hi all, I was at my local bike shop yesterday, shopping for a new mountain bike. the old one got run over by a pickup truck, while I was riding it. I am back from injuries and very anxious to get out. At the shop I ran into a brochure from Sunday River. Did you know that you could use the ski lift to go to the top for a downhill adventure? Anyhow they are offering a $99.00 package which inculdes a night at the lodge, two breakfasts, two lift tickets and trail use and an italian dinner for Saturday night. My question is, has anyone been to Sunday River for biking? Do you know of other areas that offer similar or one day packages. Are there any other ski resorts closer (southern New Hampshire) that offer lift service for bikers? I think I heard last winter that Cannon might be offering ride up their tram. Thanks in advance Shaw

Hi Geoff, I just called Loon, Yup! they have mountain biking too. Apparanetly Sunday River is the only one that accomodates a lift ride up with your bike for those of us that are kamikazi downhillers. Loon also has the coffee shop on top of the summit open for snacks and on weekends they have pancake breakfasts. Shaw |
