    I'm starting  to look seriously at buying a recumbent (or two if I
    can  interest  my  wife), so I'm looking for information on how to
    choose  a  recumbent.  I'm  looking  for  general advice, as I'm a
    novice with recumbents. A few questions that have already come up:

    How does  one  choose  between  "easy  rider" style handlebars and
    under-seat handlebars? Some bikes like the Tour-EZ have the pedals
    much  lower  than the seat, while the Linear has the pedals almost
    the  same  height as the seat, What are the pros and cons of this?
    What  are  the  pros  and  cons of long vs. short wheelbase? Which
    builders are recommended?

    I've looked  in  notes  74  (about the Opus tandem where the front
    rider is recumbent), 196 (which gives addresses of manufacturers),
    and  408  (a  little  about the quality of components, and several
    offers of a ride on a Linear recumbent.)
