1522.1 | Bike Ex has the batteries | ULTRA::WITTENBERG | Uphill, Into the Wind | Tue May 01 1990 18:33 | 8 |
| I bought replacement cateye solar batteries at "Bicycle Exchange"
in Harvard Square last summer. The batteries cost about $10/pair
(and you need a pair for the solar.) You can buy a replacement
with a 2 year lithium battery for $30 from Nashbar, but then you
have to redo the mounting. For now, I'm living with my solar. (And
it's fun to have classic equipment :-)

1522.2 | Gamache's or Radio Shack | HANNAH::PORCHER | Tom, Terminals Firmware/Software | Tue May 01 1990 18:43 | 5 |
| I've gotten replacement batteries for my Solar at Gamache's Cyclery
in Fitchburg for about $5 a pair. But last time I just bought the
SR-44R batteries from Radio Shack (they claim to be not rechargeable)
which have lasted 1+ years now, cost about $4 for two.

| I use the cheap Radio Shack batteries in my solar.
This will be my third season on them but I do keep
the Cateye under a night light in my daughters bath
room when its not on the bike.
